Vidya Balan to get ready for Ekta's Ragini MMS: Vidya Balan is getting bolder, surely if her choice of roles is to go by.
The buzz is that Vidya has all but agreed to play the lead role in Ekta Kapoor’s film Ragini MMS, which is a based on a bold subject and will have many explicit scenes. In fact, Kapoor had previously talked with Kangana Ranaut for the role, but the actress had chickened out as she wasn’t in the mood to do something so bold.
Now, Vidya is Ekta’s best bet. Why? Because Vidya is already acting in Dirty Picture, which is based on the life of the south sex bomb Silk Smitha.
The spokesperson for Ekta’s company has refused to confirm or deny the fact that Vidya has been approached, which means a deal is indeed in the works.

Vidya Balan has played the character of Sabrina Lall, the elder sister of Delhi based Jessica Lall, who was murdered on April 29, 1999 in the movie No One Killed Jessica. The 32-year-old actress is also set to play the South actress Silk Smitha’s character in Milan Luthria directed film ‘A Dirty Picture’. Vidya will be playing the hot seductive actress Smitha, who acted in more than 200 films in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi.

It is because of her close similarity with the actress and her dancing talent. Madhuri has now almost left Bollywood and she has become 43! So, the makers have probably settled on Vidya Balan, who is the most suitable actress to play Madhubala from this generation and age is also not a bar in her case.

No One Killed Jessica Movie Trailer: Rani and Vidya's New Look: No One Killed Jessica is a poignant, hard hitting and also an entertaining film. Made on a small budget with two of the best actresses of the country, Vidya Balan and Rani Mukherjee, the film is centered on the infamous Jessica Lal murder case.
Director Rajkumar Gupta who earned recognition with his film Aamir got inspired to make the film on Jessica’s case from a headline in a national newspaper.
He believes that the courtroom trial of the case was a very important event in contemporary India, signified by the society that rallied around for justice for Jessica who was shot dead point blank by the son of a rich politician. The film is Rajkumar Gupta’s dramatic interpretation of the entire Jessica Lal case.
Rani plays a passionate reporter Meera in the film, and Vidya is Sabrina, sister of Jessica, who, with her undaunted spirit, continued to fight to seek justice for her dead sister. Recently the film’s promo released, and indeed it was a thrilling watch. No One Killed Jessica is releasing on January 7.

However, this does not seem to be the case with the mature Vidya Balan. Dr Batra’s Positive Health Awards 2010 presented by Bajaj Discover, were held at Chowdiah Hall today, with Bollywood star Vidya Balan felicitating the awardees at a glittering ceremony attended by over 1,000 invitees. These Awards, now in their fifth year, are India’s first health honours instituted by Dr Batra’s, to recognise those who have displayed outstanding courage in the fight against disease and diasability.
Pioneers in the Indian automobile industry, Bajaj Discover has partnered this year’s project which for the first time , is being held in Bengaluru. An eminent panel of jurists comprising of Smt. Maneka Gandhi, Ms. Anu Aga, Vivek Oberoi, R. Balki, Rajiv Bajaj and Dr. Mukesh Batra selected six winners from hundreds of nominations. These six Mr. Deva Reddy, Dr. S Rajalakshmi, Mr. Shreedhar Rajaram, Ms. Sona Jose, Mr. Prashant Karmakar and Dr Anand Vinekar, exemplify what it takes to transform humans into heroes. In addition to a short biographic film on each awardee, the guests were entertained by a scintilling performance by dance guru Shiamak Davar’s troupe of specially challenged children. There was also a musical rendition by the students of The Happy Home and School for the Blind.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mukesh Batra, Founder and CMD, Dr. Batras’ Positive Health Clinic Pvt. Ltd. said, “These Awards are but a small reward for a big achiement. Her sari collection comprises of a variety of fabrics and the actress says that she tries to take the best possible care of each piece of sari that is currently inside her wardrobe, washing and preserving them well. And if you thought that the only designer’s saris that the actress likes sporting is her favorite Sabyasachi Mukherjee, think again. Vidya Balan has said in an interview that it is not only the Kolkata man, but also several other designers’ saris that she has purchased to add to her existing collection of saris. One question we would like to ask Vidya is why does she choose to stick to only Sabyasachi Mukherjee when it comes to sporting a sari at an event. We would advise her to try some other designers too!

Ad filmmaker Abban Deohans has signed them for a film tentatively titled Hum Rahey Naa Hum. The movie is about modern-day relationships. Abban's husband, famed cinematographer Kiran Deohans, is an executive producer on Abhishek starrer film Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey. Abban met Abhisek on the sets of this film while they were shooting their film in Goa in January. She narrated the script to him and he loved it.
Abban knows Vidya since her modelling days. Abban adds, "I have shot many ads with Vidya, but not with Abhishek. So recently while I was shooting an ad with her, I narrated this script to her and that's how she came on board."

'No One Killed Jessica’ Movie: Vidya Balan, Rani Mukherjee First Look: From the director of critically-acclaimed movie Aamir comes the film No One Killed Jessica which is based on the murder of model Jessica Lal.
Director Rajkumar Gupta has got two talented actresses for his movie: Vidya Balan and Rani Mukherjee.
Vidya’s character is close to Jessica’s elder sister, Sabrina Lal, while Rani plays a news reporter. The whole movie is shot in Delhi. According to the director, the title of the film No One Killed Jessica is inspired from a Times Of India headline which came in the year 2006, when the accused in the controversial murder case were acquitted by the lower courts which lead to nationwide protests. And after that the case was reopened.
The main accused in the murder case was sentenced to life imprisonment and on 19th April 2010, the Supreme Court of India reaffirmed the life sentence for the guilty.
The film which will release on January 7.

Cold vibes between Rani and Vidya Balan

Right now, Rani Mukherjee is working with Vidya Balan for their upcoming movie No One Killed Jessica. The new movie is going to be a hot release as it stars two of the most gorgeous bombshells of Bollywood.
However, reports are rife that the two beauties are not the best buddies on the set for this upcoming flick. It goes without saying that Rani Mukherjee is a senior actress with many great performances and awards in her kitty, and on the other hand, Vidya Balan is just few films old.
Crew members suggest that Rani maintains a distinctive behavior that inhibits Vidya from talking to her and Vidya is not very keen about breaking the ice as well. The two beauties simply give their shots and then scurry back to their vanity vans.However, reports are rife that the two beauties are not the best buddies on the set for this upcoming flick. It goes without saying that Rani Mukherjee is a senior actress with many great performances and awards in her kitty, and on the other hand, Vidya Balan is just few films old.
The film's crew members also suggest that the Rani and Vidya do not come out of their little ivory towers until the next shot is ready.
Although no one has seen the two actresses get into a battle royale of words, the cold vibes on set is so thick that it can be cut with a knife! So what is the reason behind this strife?
Reports suggest that designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee ditched Vidya for Rani Mukherjee for his directorial debut and since then the two actresses are not in talking terms anymore.
Rani, on the other hand, asked the director of the current film to make certain changes to the script which would have cut Vidya's role short. As the saying goes “hell hath no fury like a woman scorned”.
Vidya Balan Suffers Nervous Breakdown
Shooting all day in sweaty crowded outdoor location for one film and dubbing for another film has taken its toll on Vidya Balan’s health. After Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif, Vidya Balan has suffered a health setback caused by acute overwork.
