Neetu Chandra doesn't need a panty-less stunt for publicity: Call it the Yana Gupta syndrome, but Neetu was certainly not pleased with the report that claimed that she went in the raw to pull off a publicity stunt. Neetu’s publicist is quoted as saying: “Neetu Chandra is a girl with dignity and there has been no slip like this.”

The actress of films like Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! and Traffic Signal has previously been part of a controversy for a racy lesbian photo-shoot.

However, her spokesperson maintains that Neetu doesn’t need to resort to cheap publicity gimmicks to stay in the news.

In fact, Neetu was in the process of taking a legal action against the website, but the matter was sorted out after the website tendered an apology for running the story.

Neetu Chandra was born in Patna, Bihar, India on the 20th July to a businessman. Her mother Meera was the more supportive of her parents when Neetu decided to start modeling and did some ads.Neetu completed her schooling from Notre Dame Academy, Patna and graduated from IP College, Delhi.

Neetu also holds a black belt in Taekwondo. In 1995, she was part of the World Korfball Championship and in 1996, she participated in the International Taekwondo Championship in Hong Kong. Neetu Chandra has only two Tamil films in her hand. One is Ameer’s Aadhi Bhaghavan and a film which has Jayam Ravi in the lead role.

Though the female lead role in the Ajith’s Mangaatha has slipped away from her hands, her ambition is to conquer Thamanna’s place. Because of this she is learning Tamil in her house by engaging a Tamil teacher in her house in Mumbai.

Since Ameer’s Aadhi Bhaghavan may fetch her the place she anticipates, she is getting ready to dub for the film in Tamil in her own voice. Though Neetu’s act may look avaricious, there is no other go to welcome an actress who loves Tamil.

While speaking to the media she said,” I am currently acting in a Hindi film titled Apartment. I am donning the role of a college student staying in the hostel. Many are telling that I have acted glamorously in a bathing scene. It is not like that. There will be no vulgarity in this scene. Nobody wears a sari and bathe. There is a dress for that. I have worn that dress and acted in the bathing scene. Keeping this in mind I don’t want people calling me that I am a glamour actress. I am currently not acting in any Tamil cinema. I am waiting for a good offer.”
