Deepika Padukone and Vishal Bhardwaj's 'Dreams'

Deepika Padukone and Vishal Bhardwaj's 'Dreams': Deepika Padukone has opted out of Vishal Bhardwaj's seemingly jinxed film, Dreams, because of date conflicts, reports Mumbai Mirror. Earlier, Saif Ali Khan had opted out of the film after Bharadwaj declined to direct a film for his production company, Illuminati Films, in a quid-pro-quo deal. Bharadwaj refused to commit to the Illuminati film because the script hadn't been finalized.

Bharadwaj replaced Saif with Vivaan Shah, son of Naseeruddin Shah.

After being signed for the film in August, Deepika had sounded excited about the opportunity to work with Vishal, who she says is a genius.

She had Tweeted: "Yes its true!signed a film with vishal bhardwaj!I'm really really excited...he's a genius!!:-)"

When signing Deepika, Vishal didn't discuss dates. It now turns out that Deepika's calendar is chock-full during the time frame that Vishal has firmed up with producer Ekta Kapoor; the film will begin production soon after Bhardwaj's Saat Khoon Maaf releases on January 21.

Deepika's dates are filled until June 2011: January to March 2011 for Rohit Dhawan's Desi Boyz and April to June for another film.

Dreams is a love triangle between two girls and a man. Priyanka Chopra is the other female lead in the film.

This will be Vivaan and Priyanka's second film together after Saat Khoon Maaf.

Deepika had to similarly walk out of another of her favorite projects, Bodyguard Remake titled My Love Story with co-star Salman Khan. She was very keen to work with Salman Khan but she could not commit to 30 days at a stretch due to prior commitments.
